Toxic temptations of the parentMy two cents: Thoughts from a cyber mom with a passion for the parent-child bond

If it is true that the brain believes everything you tell it, then it makes sense that the thoughts we choose become our reality. The genuine power of every individual rests in our God-given capacity to think for ourselves, in a world that hypes the power and control struggles rooted in untruth, or FEAR:

  • False
  • Evidence
  • Appearing
  • Real

Steven Campbell, motivational speaker and author of Making Your Mind Magnificent, spoke to a group of therapists, counselors and parents at the first Symposium on Meeting the Spiritual and Mental Health needs of Modern Youth and Families at the Sylvan Community Center in Citrus heights. This was the inaugural event of the Banana Moments Foundation.

Campbell explains that because the brain science tells us it believes what you tell it and makes it come true, every individual has the capacity to change your self-talk to realize your potential and dreams. This is a message and a skill so important for the modern youth who receive all kinds of messages in the social network that are beneath them.
